Order dispatch
We aim to dispatch all orders placed before 11am on the same day, subject to credit clearance and availability of stock.
We dispatch parcels once daily Monday to Friday. Orders placed after 11am on Friday will be dispatched on the following Monday. Deliveries are expected to arrive within the given times detailed on our delivery region info tabs. A working day is Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
Additional Shipping Charges
Delivery costs will be shown at checkout. In some rare cases, the postage will be reviewed if the order is unusually heavy, large or bulky. If you have any questions about your postage charges, please get in touch using the details on our Contact Us page.
*UK includes Northern Ireland but not the Channel Islands. Delivery options and charges vary depending on the type of products ordered and destination.
Alcohol
Unfotunately, we can only ship alcohol within the UK from our licenced premises. Currently we are working on a solution to ship worldwide, however, most countries have strict laws regarding this, so it may take some time.
Customs, Import Duties & VAT
All prices shown include VAT (sales tax) at the current UK rate and exclude delivery charges. Where applicable (i.e. for customers with an invoice address outside the UK & Europe) VAT will be deducted at the checkout stage.
liquorice Tree Gifts will take care of all customs paperwork i.e invoices and FDA aproval for food items ordered from US customers.
Prices listed in alternative currencies are subject to fluctuations in currency and may change on a daily basis. Liquorice Tree Gifts is not liable for any charges your credit card company or bank may make for overseas transactions. The purchaser will pay all ancillary costs over and above the price including delivery and local and regional customs duties and tariffs.
PO Box & BFPO
Unfortunately, we cannot deliver to PO Box or BFPO addresses.
Delivery Restrictions
Most things we sell can be shipped overseas, however, there are some countries that impose restrictions on certain products. i.e alcohol. You are responsible for ensuring the items you order can be imported to your delivery address. Liquorice Tree Gifts accepts no responsibility for loss or damage when items are refused entry by regional customs
Where the order contains items that are restricted by age such as alcohol or knives, by placing an order you confirm that you or the recipient of an age restricted gift is over the age of 18 or the legal age required in the selected delivery country. Liquorice Tree Gifts accepts no responsibility for loss or damage when items cannot be delivered due to lack of suitable age verification checks.
Delivery Terms & Conditions
Delivery is subject to stock availability and having full credit/Debit card authorisation.
We have a no quibble policy at Liquorice Tree. If there is any reason you would like a refund or exchange we are happy to do so. We will refund or exchange the items if they are sent back unused and undamaged in their original packaging if you notify us within 7 working days of delivery to you.
Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the items to us unless we delivered the item to you in error, or if the item is damaged or defective.
We recommend that you use Recorded Delivery or a Courier so that you have proof of despatch. Customers are advised to insure items when returning them for their own protection.
A replacement or refund will not be made until the original item has been returned to us.
We regret that we also cannot accept cancellations of contracts for the purchase of video, DVD, audio, where the item has been unsealed.

When you shop with us, our secure server encrypts all of your personal information, including name, address and credit card information. We use SagePay which are an industry leader in secure internet transactions. SagePay are used by thousands of other UK businesses for transaction security.
Industry leading transaction security
All transaction information passed between our website and the SagePay Payment System is encrypted using 128-bit SSL certificates. No cardholder information is ever passed unencrypted and all messages from SagePay are signed using MD5 hashing to prevent tampering. You can be completely secure in the knowledge that nothing passed to SagePay can be examined, used or modified by any third parties attempting to gain access to sensitive information.
Internationally recognised encryption and data storage
Once on the SagePay system, all sensitive data is secured using the same internationally recognised 256-bit encryption standards used by, among others, the US Government. The encryption keys are held on state-of-the-art, tamper proof systems in the same family as those used to secure VeriSign's Global Root certificate, making them all but impossible to extract. The data they hold is extremely secure and they are regularly audited by the banks and banking authorities to ensure it remains so.
Private network links to banks
SagePay has multiple private links into the banking network that are completely separate from the Internet and which do not cross any publicly accessible networks. Any cardholder information sent to the banks and any authorisation message coming back is secure and cannot be tampered with.
Employee access
No individuals within our company or SagePay are able to decrypt transaction information or cardholder data. Their systems only allow access to our most senior staff and only in extenuating circumstances (such as investigations of Card Fraud by the Police). Your card information is secure even from their own employees because the systems never display the full card numbers, even on administration screens.
Please note that whilst we take appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard the personal data that you provide to us, no transmission over the Internet can ever be guaranteed secure. Consequently, please note that we cannot guarantee the security of any personal data that you transfer over the Internet to us.
What you need to do
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account and any activities that occur under your account. Liquorice Tree shall not be liable to any person for any loss or damage which may arise as a result of any failure by you to protect your password or account.
If you are using a computer or terminal in a public location, we recommend that you always log out and close the website browser when you complete an online session for your security. In addition we recommend that you take the following security measures to enhance your online safety:
When creating a password, use at least 8 characters. A combination of letters and numbers is best. Do not use dictionary words, your name, email address, or other personal data that can be easily obtained. We also recommend that you frequently change your password. You can do this by going to 'My Account' and clicking 'Change name, email or password',
Avoid using the same password for multiple online accounts.
Spoof/false emails
We will never ask you to confirm any account or credit card details via email.
